Another Israeli ‘spy’ arrested in Lebanon

Lebanese media reported on Monday that the Lebanese Armed Forces have uncovered yet another ‘Israeli spy’ in the country. They claim that the spy cell’s Israeli handlers offered to pay them a large sum of cash for information relating to Israel Air Force navigator Ron Arad, who bailed out of his crippled F-4 Phantom jet during operation Peace for the Galilee in 1986. Lebanese security labeled the group “extremely dangerous” and “confessions” by cell members have reportedly led to other arrests. Since April 2009, more than 100 Lebanese have been detained on the suspicion of spying for Israel, many of them Christians.
